Production process
Fresh oranges go through a multistep process to produce dried orange slices. These are the steps:
- Visual inspectionof oranges for any contamination of mark
- Washing to remove any dirt
- Cutting and slicing (no skinning is required)
- Dryingby putting in the fruit dryer for a while (at a set temperature, a humidity )
- Cooling and packaging

Oranges are mainly demanded for their Vitamin C, but they are available only during cold seasons of the year. Drying oranges is, therefore, a good option as you can use them off-season for decoration or a garnish, or as an excellent tangy snack.
Our dried Red and Thompson orange slices are dehydrated fresh oranges with all the benefits and flavor of the fresh ones. They are ready-to-use (RTU) food ingredients, meaning you do not need to chop or process them to make the most use of them.
Oranges are rich in Vitamin C, vitamin A and potassium. They have no fat. They have very little sugar, protein and calcium. They are low in carbohydrates.
